Kruger National Park Northern Region
South Africa

  Featured SafarisAboutSafari.com

Kruger National Park comprises an impressive 2 million hectares (5 million acres). No fences exist within this area so animals are free to roam and migrate throughout.
The northern region of Kruger Park is remote, meaning fewer tourists but also very beautiful, particularly the Pafuri area. Game density is not as high so predators such as Lion, Leopard and Wild Dog, although present in the area, are more difficult to find. Expected game viewing for this region is the Big 5 - Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo with chances of sighting wild dog, hyena and cheetah. All types of general game species occur - namely, varying antelope, giraffe and zebra.
