Timbavati Private Game Reserve is situated in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The reserve comprises 55 000 hectares (136 000 acres) bordering the Kruger National Park and sharing an unfenced eastern boundary. No fences exist within these areas so animals are free to roam throughout.
Expected game viewing for this region is the Big 5 of Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo with chances of sighting Wild Dog, Hyena and Cheetah. | Our walking safaris are based in the bush in the Greater Kruger National Park, but the pickup and drop off locations for our safaris are based in Johannesburg and Pretoria. Transfers are included in the package, but your wildlife safari only really starts on arrival at a lovely bush pub on the edge of the Greater Kruger National Park. From there, open 4×4 Landrovers transport you to one of our exclusive unfenced tented camps where you will stay during your African safari. There are no fences between the Kruger National Park and the reserves, hence the name Greater Kruger NP. The big advantage of these exclusive wilderness areas is their privacy, so no sharing sightings or camps with other tourists.
Walking Safaris with Transfrontiers appeal to adventurous minds, keen on a learning experience. Every walk is a book on its own, with the emphasis on information on all the wonders of nature, big and small. Because of the dangerous aspects of a walking safari, the minimum age is 16. Although there is no maximum age, the walks can last up to 4 hours and tracking might lead the trail through thick bush, riverbeds and gullies. Therefore an average fitness level is required, especially in the hotter summer months (Nov to March). A maximum of 8 people makes up a trail, no minimum.

| Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a private and intimate camp situated in the prestigious Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, giving you best traverse viewing. The Klaserie now forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park with a common unfenced boundary.
Our traversing area is approximately 6000 hectares (14800 acres) of the reserves, offering guests varied landscapes with an excellent possibility of coming face to face with the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) and numerous other mammals and bird species in their natural habitat.
Early morning, late afternoon and evening game drives are conducted in open 4x4 Land Rovers with qualified and experienced field rangers and trackers, ensuring an exciting and informative safari. Guests are accommodated in fully furnished, brick and thatch chalets all with en-suite facilities and power points.
